About RBHCs

Behavioral health challenges cannot be solved by any one organization alone.

Lasting change happens when healthcare providers, community organizations, residents, people with lived expertise, first responders, educators, faith leaders, advocates, government agencies, and other partners come together around a shared vision.

The Cook County Health Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) has launched 11 Regional Behavioral Health Collaboratives across Chicago and suburban Cook County to build stronger local partnerships, identify regional priorities, and turn ideas into action.

Each collaborative serves as a space to connect with others, share expertise, elevate community voices, and work together to develop solutions that improve behavioral health across Cook County.

Whether you are representing an organization or simply want to make a difference in your community, your voice and experience matter.

Together, we are working to:

  • Icon of hands holding a heart.

Build stronger partnerships across healthcare, behavioral health, social services, education, public safety, and community organizations.

  • Icon of a magnifying glass.

    Identify regional challenges and opportunities.

  • Icon of a gear.

    Develop practical, community-driven solutions.

  • Icon of two upward-trending arrows.

Advance the priorities of the Cook County Regional Behavioral Health Strategic Plan.

  • Icon of three people.

Create a more coordinated, equitable, and accessible behavioral health system for everyone.

11 Regions. One Shared Vision.

Six collaboratives serve communities throughout Chicago, and five serve suburban Cook County. Each collaborative focuses on the priorities that matter most to its region while contributing to a countywide effort to improve behavioral health.
